Great Blue Heron Strides-IMG_3208.jpg
With its long, spindly legs, a Great Blue Heron strides across the grassy area adjacent to Arrowhead Marsh at Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline, searching for food in an area rife with ground squirrels and other rodents. From the whatbird.com website: They eat mainly fish but will also eat other small animals. They have been known to choke to death on prey that is too large.
